The Hidden Truth About America’s Corruption Nobody Wants to Talk About
Mark Hayes (00:00.62)
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back. Like and subscribe. Two minute black and white in honest conversation. All right. we've got extreme heat happening right now. We've also got a serious emergency when it comes to our strategic petroleum oil reserves. That's another big story that's brewing right now. We've got the GPS information that is being released about the whereabouts of the boat that Nolan Wells was supposedly on. And there is also some audio.
Of that same boat having some distress, and they were asking, is everyone on board and safe? The answer might surprise you. All right, let's get into it. And then we've got, yeah, Cheeto Mussolini talking about some shit from seven years ago. But don't worry about the virus that is plaguing the country now. They're blaming lettuce for it.
but we know it's gonna be Obama or Biden's fault if you should happen to get explosive diarrhea and dehydrate in these one hundred plus degree temperatures. Brock and Ellis joining us live. Brock, a lot on the table today. All right, let's begin with tonight. Right? Who's boycotting Cheeto Mussolini's speech? I know that would be me. Does he have anything worth listening to?
Brock Ganeles (01:21.174)
I mean, apparently some of the networks are boycotting as well, which I'm happy to see. I mean, look, Trump is gonna is laying the seeds down tonight for voter manipulation. He's gonna roll on the clock back to twenty twenty. He's gonna lay out all his grievances about how he got screwed, including in Georgia with the eleven thousand votes. But he's going to try to stoke some fear in the American public that our voting system is
has irregularities, it has been manipulated in the past, and therefore we have to have all these different types of crackdowns, aka, voter suppression techniques. So this is a propaganda speech tonight. We know what's coming. Even the GOP's nervous about it because they're worried Trump's gonna go off script and be even more bizarre than the game plan that I just laid out.
Mark Hayes (02:11.822)
Well.
Yeah. speaking of Tom Tillis coming out strong against Trumpster's appointee to be the official head of the DOJ, Todd Blanch, aka Trump's personal attorney, Adam Schiff was beating him up on that yes day before yesterday. Tom Tillis saying, You gotta meet with the Epstein survivors first. Is that ever gonna happen? I I can't see how it does.
Brock Ganeles (02:43.605)
Look, Tillis is a lame duck. He got squeezed out because he wasn't loyal enough to Trump. Maybe he has enough cur anger andor courage to push the envelope here and force Blanche into what would be at least an embarrassing situation. I'm not sure it would solve anything, but it would at least be an embarrassment to Blanche. To me it wouldn't be enough. Tillis should just say I'm voting against him and put the whole whole
Blanche story to bed, right? But he's kind of giving him a an out or yeah, to like so if he has the meeting, he Yeah, to get in. So like so if he has the meeting, he's gonna be willing to vote for Todd Blanche, like that's said in its own right. The through line before between all these stories is incompetence and corruption. I mean everything that you touched on is gonna lead to that. So we're gonna start with Trump's bogus speech.
Mark Hayes (03:16.941)
And out.
Mark Hayes (03:20.834)
To get in.
Brock Ganeles (03:39.82)
Which is all gonna be basically about political corruption. We got Tillis and Blanche, which is all about incompetence on Blanche's side, and a corrupt Department of Justice. Right? So on to the next story, right? And it's gonna be it's corruption and incompetence in this cocktail that we're all living in. And like you said yesterday two days ago, but we're allowing it.
Mark Hayes (03:49.858)
Corruption.
Mark Hayes (04:07.52)
Right. Yep. And as long as we continue to allow it, as long as we don't continue to get upset about it, as long as we don't jump up and down, scream and stomp, it shall continue. it's just the way it is. I guess what fifty point two percent of America's okay with it? I don't know. we know only thirty
30, what, 28, 30% is hardcore MAGA? Where are they getting that other, you know, 22% from? 23% that's tipping the scales. That those are the people. Are those your independents, Brock, who were swaying? because I thought they leaned a little bit toward the blue side. we've learned a lot about America the last 11 years, Brock, and it ain't it ain't flattering.
Brock Ganeles (05:04.225)
I mean I think at least in all the special elections we've had, the independents had voted have voted pretty significantly on the Democratic side. But all there's still see there's still probably a gap between those that have an unfavorable view of Trump in the polling, but will still go out and vote for the MAGA slash GOP candidate when it comes to pulling the lever because they just can't
They've convinced themselves that that's the you know, the power structure that America needs to have, because God forbid if you get those, you know, libs in there, you know, it's gonna be it's gonna be haywire of actually affordable health care and good public schools and a fair tax code. Like all this craziness will be unleashed. So I don't trust the American voting public. I'll I'll believe it when I see it, and Trump.
Starting with tonight, well not starting with tonight, with tonight as a major exclamation of what Project Twenty Twenty Five is gonna do over the next three and a half months, is they're gonna suppress the vote like we've never seen before. And Trump's basically gonna tell us that tonight.
Mark Hayes (06:17.452)
Yeah.
Right. Right. Brock, I am getting a news alert on my pad here that is saying that Don Lemon is going to update the Mississippi governor breaking his silence on the Nolan Wells case. and while we're there, let's talk a little bit about the GPS information that came out. Apparently, we now know the route the boat took.
from the GPS. We also have audio of that phone call, and that may have been the stepmom, the judge, that was talking to the boys on the boat, and she said, Is everyone okay on the boat? And the boys replied, Yeah, everyone's here and everybody's good. Now, did everyone include Nolan? Who did everyone include at that point? That and and see, and that's where the lie may start to unravel. Was he there?
Brock Ganeles (07:17.823)
Yeah, it it was a
Mark Hayes (07:18.302)
Because remember he was seen at that party that Ben Krupp posted, which was at eleven o'clock at night.
Brock Ganeles (07:24.873)
Yeah, there i I mean there's some so some talk that that that photo on the pool may have been of a different night. So like there's a lot of like blurry information out there. But yeah, it was a very cryptic answer from the kids and it did sound like sort of the cover up was unfolding in front of us. I can't imagine. I can't wait to hear what the Mississippi governor's gonna say. But I my bet is he's gonna throw some middle of the road bullshit at us about how justice is blind
and that the Mississippi sheriffs are all over it and they're being supported by our, you know, vaunted FBI and there couldn't possibly be a better and more better and more fair investigation going on anywhere in the world. That's my guess of what he's gonna say. And I'll believe about as much of what the Mississippi governor has to say as of as what Trump has to say tonight. So that's my guess. That's my preview of what we're gonna expect to hear.
Mark Hayes (08:22.456)
So you you don't think we're gonna hear segregation now, segregation then, segregation for forever. You don't think we're gonna hear that?
Brock Ganeles (08:31.509)
That's what he's thinking. That's what he's thinking. He's really thinking is like, come on, nobody cares about this. Let's just let's just move on. It was just a black kid. That's what he's thinking. But I feel like we'll hear something different.
Mark Hayes (08:39.168)
Right. Just a black kid. But but you know what? You know what Rob? He he's n he's not just a black kid to this Irving family in Dallas, Metro Dallas. Because Lake Ray Hubbard, which is a very popular lake, located not too far from the old cowboys complex in Irving, Texas.
very popular with boaters, swimmers, you know, jet ski. It's a huge man-made lake. and there was a boy there, Daniel Irving, who drowned now. Brock, this happened in April. And the two boys have just been charged, Lucas Roper and another teen have been charged not with his death, but with tampering with evidence. So, Brock, I ask you, thank goodness for Nolan Wells.
Now, the Irving family may get justice. Because let me tell you something. How are you going to charge him with tampering with his clothes? Because one would assume he may have had them on at some point, right? So, how do you not charge him with his death or at least manslaughter? There's got to be some kind of correlation between.
Brock Ganeles (09:58.56)
Yes, some sort of yeah. Depraved indifference, right? Right that somehow the guy drowned and they wanted to get rid of the clothes that he was wearing before they all w went in all went in the water together. I mean, I can't imagine a another black kid that's gonna go out swimming with their white friends. I mean, this is
Mark Hayes (10:03.522)
Right.
Mark Hayes (10:16.558)
Well, I I don't bro. Bro, like what is going on? Like ha okay, Brock, what are you what ha what kind of kids are you raising that you say, hey yeah, when your kid starts going down, yeah, just kind of leave What? Like what are we doing? Like as a soci I'm not even talking black and white, Brock. But I yo, and I I I
I mean, I've said this to you again, ad nauseum. What kind of parent would I have been if I had taught my kid to hate white people and then dropped him off at hockey practice, his first love? Right? We we know who plays hockey, especially in the US, because we know who can afford it. But like I just don't understand how we're teaching hate and how we're teaching people to, you know, to to to see so little value in a person because of the melanin in their skin.
That drives me crazy, Brock. like I'll I'll never understand it. I'll never understand teaching hate. I'll never understand why people can look at me the way they do without even knowing me and assume that I'm guilty of something. Assume that I'm there to hurt them. Assume that I'm a nefarious actor. It's it's it's ridiculous to me. And I know you don't get it either because your parents didn't teach that.
Brock Ganeles (11:41.28)
No, but it's embedded, right? It's it's embedded in society. It's passed down from generation to generation. It requires an active step to break it, right? 'Cause if you just roll along with status quo, then you're gonna just kinda get indoctrinated into the racist structure. It really actually takes, you know, almost being taught differently.
Mark Hayes (11:44.014)
Yeah. Yeah.
Brock Ganeles (12:10.195)
in order to break to break that cycle and then make a conscious decision that that's not how you're going to be. But if you just let the status quo roll along, then the advantages of society for white people, you just play into that and then you start valuing yourself and others like you higher and it just cascades from there. I mean it has to actively be pushed back upon. That's why like teaching the the proper history is so important.
That's why we need to re you know, book banning is important. You have to read books, right? Minds have to be opened. We need in we need integrated spaces. We need DEI to force the structure to diversify so that people are put in position and places with others that don't look like them. If we don't take these steps, we roll along with the status quo and we know how the nation started.
Mark Hayes (13:07.947)
Right.
Brock Ganeles (13:08.107)
The way the nation started, it that's just the momentum. That's just the way the ball's gonna roll, unless somebody stops it. And every time there's efforts to stop it, there's this big backlash from white America, which in this in our lifetime, the big backlash is MAGA. Maybe it's started with the Tea Party and then evolved into MAGA because they didn't like the way things were quote changing in America. Too many
Mark Hayes (13:13.71)
Right.
Mark Hayes (13:26.926)
Right.
Mark Hayes (13:30.967)
Right.
Mark Hayes (13:36.428)
Right.
Brock Ganeles (13:37.729)
Too many dark people around. We need to change things. We need to reflex back. That's why we're hoping we have a social democ democratic movement that's gonna swing the pendulum the other way. That is like hyper diversity.
Mark Hayes (13:40.604)
Right.
Mark Hayes (13:52.855)
Right.
Brock Ganeles (13:54.652)
And it's just really gonna jam diversity down the throats of white America. That's really what the next movement could or should be.
Mark Hayes (13:59.489)
Right. Which which is a shame. W and and Brock, when we say force diversity down the throat to white America, we're really saying force fairness down their throat. Right? We're we're what we're saying is stop stacking the deck against us and telling us, you know, we've got the big joker. We don't. We don't have the ace car. We do we don't have.
You know, the four of a kind. We've got nothing and we're supposed to like it.
Brock Ganeles (14:30.795)
Mark, when's the la when's the last game you played in where all the calls were going your way that you pulled the referee aside and said, Hey, you know, stop throwing those flags on the other team? You know, that's I didn't th you didn't want that past interference call. You what the guy really didn't get me on the arm, but y you know, I shouldn't have got those two foul shots. Like, who in the history yeah you pat the ref on the buttons say hey, good call as you walk to the foul line. So, I mean, that's
Mark Hayes (14:43.84)
Never.
Mark Hayes (14:49.398)
Right. A great call though.
Great goal.
Brock Ganeles (14:59.477)
That's why it doesn't change because those that are advantaged don't want to give it up. And so it has to really be wrestled away. And there have to be enough people who have the advantage who say, just make it fair. We just want it fair. We don't want to be disadvantaged, right? I don't want to be disadvantaged, white guy. But j just make it fair. Fairer.
Mark Hayes (15:04.6)
Right.
Right.
Mark Hayes (15:13.996)
Right.
Mark Hayes (15:20.63)
Right. Hey. Yeah, exactly. Hey, Brock, if we could just swing back really for one quick moment to corruption in the White House, it's trickling down to the lowest levels of the team. Apparently the teleprompter operator has made ninety grand in the prediction markets, voting on tr betting on Trump speeches. I mean it never stops. It never stops.
Brock Ganeles (15:48.482)
So what do you do? He he he read the transcript of Trump, what Trump was gonna say, and then he went out on one of those prediction markets and bet based upon the comments. So the speech writers are probably out there making money off it. Those look, those pr prediction markets are corrupt in their own right. They're so easily they're so easily manipulated. It's basically a market of if you're in the know, you're gonna make money off all the idiots who aren't in the know. It there it's a perfect business model for the Trump era.
Mark Hayes (15:56.078)
That's what I'm getting.
Mark Hayes (16:03.19)
It's a joke. Right.
Mark Hayes (16:16.727)
Right.
Brock Ganeles (16:17.213)
In that same vein, Trump's social, Trump's little mini Twitter, is going to create a tier of customer that can get Trump's tweets faster than everyone else so that they can react to what he's tweeting out since he tweets out policy. So so like hedge fund managers and other financiers can pay for faster i you know faster information flow on Trump's
Fucking craziness and then place financial bets ahead of it. Yeah, we're in fucking we're in DEF CON five on corruption in America. Anywhere people can find it, find an edge to take money from others, it's it's going on. But if you're watching the Trump family and you're you're in that circle in any way, shape, or form, you're like, why why shouldn't I get my piece of the pie?
Mark Hayes (16:48.449)
Yeah.
Mark Hayes (16:53.164)
Yeah.
Mark Hayes (16:57.296)
my God, yes.
Mark Hayes (17:04.056)
Do it. Right.
Mark Hayes (17:09.602)
Struggling. Yeah.
Mark Hayes (17:15.434)
Right.
Brock Ganeles (17:16.961)
Who cares who cares what's legal and what's illegal? Everything's a gray area now. There isn't so just take what you can while you can. And we're seeing that across the board with the with the politicians, with the administration. And now okay, now I guess it's the teleprompter guy. I want to see the betting patterns of that thirty two year old who tucks Trump into bed. Jesus Christ. She must be killing it on like these polymarkets.
Mark Hayes (17:34.902)
Yeah. I mean
Mark Hayes (17:42.085)
my god. my gosh, yes. gosh. I mean I mean, right now to the to the last man on the deal team. Everybody's corrupt. What the fuck? all right. moving on. The weather. you know, this extreme heat. of course it's not global warming or anything like that. What and it's a good thing that it's not, because otherwise we might have a whole lot of extra issues related to it, including
prices rising when it comes to our inadequate, you know, electric grids, when it comes to brownouts, when it comes to the price of food. See, people don't realize how intertwined the weather is in our economy. But hey, don't worry about those weather balloons. Don't bother putting those up so we can predict what the weather will actually be. Fuck.
Brock Ganeles (18:32.787)
Extreme heat, wildfires where the air is basically unbreathable from Michigan through the northeast and has been for a couple of days. They're handing out masks. Massive flooding down in Texas, right? San Antonio's underwater. They're fishing people out. You know, another like once in a thousand flood once in a thousand year flood, right? We get one every six months. you know, just those three things alone, beyond the fact that we have like like you were saying
a supposedly bad lettuce outbreak that's leading to explosive diarrhea throughout the country, as if we need to to layer that on top of the Trump MAGA world that we live in. But it just ties back to the fact that we allowed Kennedy to run our health care in America. We cut funding and we don't have any of these random and rare incidences researched anymore.
We don't even have the big stuff researched. Got we certainly not gonna have the same kind of food safety because we roll back the regulations. I mean, these things c all these decisions, policy decisions, catch up with you over time. At some point it catches up.
Mark Hayes (19:33.186)
Well but what?
Mark Hayes (19:45.838)
Yeah.
Yep. We're rescheduling baseball games. You know, that that costs money because now television advertisers have to adjust. Right? Ad time is not the same as it is in the early afternoon, as it is during prime time. you've got people who may not be able to make it to a game now who are what are they gonna get a a refund on their tick? Like it it is there is so much that's being done. I mean, just take a look at the floods in Texas that you were mentioning.
Right? the the camp where all the little girls came up missing. Another surge of deadly waves. Right? And deadly deadly rising tides. Like it it's not stopping. And we let the guy who sniffed cocaine off of public bathroom toilets, you know, run our health policy. Don't sound like he's very healthy at all. Didn't he have worms or something living in his brain or something something crazy?
Brock Ganeles (20:44.267)
Yeah. Well, there there was a very cl there was a very close call to summer camp in Missouri. They had the helicopter the kids out, but they saved them 'cause they got there just in time. You know, in the way that they didn't at that Camp Mystic la was it last summer that that flooding happened? But it's extra you know
Mark Hayes (21:00.674)
Right.
Yeah, yeah, 'cause there's already what do you call it's out on it? Documentaries.
Brock Ganeles (21:06.357)
But these are policy decisions coming back to bite us in the ass. This is oil executives pumping the Trump family with funding, with corruption and bribery, and getting policy decisions that roll back. You know, we're paying people not to deploy their wind farms. We're re-engaging and re revitaliz re-energizing coal facilities that have been shut down.
Mark Hayes (21:11.19)
Mm.
Mark Hayes (21:26.477)
Yep.
Brock Ganeles (21:34.028)
We pulled back all the regulations relative to chemical plants and the like, so we're just decided that we're gonna allow to warm the planet more and now in pockets of extremities we feel the brunt of it. But can anyone be surprised? Like these are decision conscious decisions being made that ninety-five percent of Americans understand that
Mark Hayes (21:51.758)
Yeah.
Brock Ganeles (22:03.637)
The climate is changing. That we at you know, we as human beings are exacerbating the problem. And therefore we're gonna live with the problems of it. But once again, if American people just made a decision that, okay, we don't care that you can't go outside in summer anymore. We've just written off summers now. Summers are just gonna be too hot. Summers are too hot.
Mark Hayes (22:25.322)
I I mean how how long? Yeah, so the next generation is gonna have to deal with that, but it may be too late by then. I'm just saying. I I mean I'm no scientist, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn a couple of nights last year. apparently that would qualify me for entrance into the Trump administration.
Brock Ganeles (22:43.063)
Twenty, thirty years ago, twenty thirty years ago, the science said in twenty, thirty years, here's what's gonna happen. The you know, the earth's gonna warm, the w the oceans are gonna warm, you're gonna get more severe storms, the earth's gonna warm, it's gonna get too hot, it's gonna make it harder for some people to live, it's gonna be harder to grow food, famine's gonna be an issue, and by the way, we might start running out of clean water and drinkable water, like the Colorado River is basically disappearing on us.
Mark Hayes (23:03.597)
All that doesn't.
Brock Ganeles (23:10.207)
And now we have to figure out like, okay, how are we gonna have enough drinkable water in the globe, or even in if we have to shrink it down to the United States? But that's okay, let's go ahead and build these fucking data centers that soak up like eighty percent of the water and like let's just exacerbate that problem as well. These are just decisions with corrupt intent behind them, big money funding the politicians who are rolling along making decisions that they know.
Mark Hayes (23:20.941)
Yep.
Brock Ganeles (23:39.049)
are not in the best interest of the mar majority of the American people, but we're allowing it to happen.
Mark Hayes (23:46.829)
Yeah. And it's it's it's sad, Brock, because again, it all gets back to the death of expertise. Right? And and and getting rid of the experts, you know talking down science and facts and the whole fake news phenomenon. Speaking of news being under attack, today's show hosts Craig Melvin and Al Roker.
Under the gun, this well, that's probably too soon. But, you know, an intruder burst into the studio looking for Al Roker, shouting racial slurs at, you know, Craig Melvin. Fortunately, no one was h hurt. Unfortunately, it came on the heels of Savannah Guthrie making her announcement that she'd be stepping away from her co-anchoring duties for a while. and Brock, I know that's an incredibly difficult dis
situation because that those positions are so coveted. You know, the Today Show main anchor, you would imagine anybody in television as I was for nearly 30 years, you would do almost anything to get that position and she's got to step away because I'm sure every story she reads reminds her of what has happened to her mother. And what people tend to forget, by the way, Al Roker and Craig Melvin not hurt.
when that individual burst into the studio. But people tend to forget that news anchors are real people too. Right? So real life happens to news anchors and reporters as well. I was just told
Brock Ganeles (25:28.203)
So what he does he ran and attack he ran and attacked them or he he was just he was just
Mark Hayes (25:32.952)
He just ran in yelling. You know, he was looking for Al Roker or
Brock Ganeles (25:35.871)
What shouting the a shouting the a shouting the N word at them? And just Okay.
Mark Hayes (25:39.457)
Yeah, that's what it sounds like. Somehow got past security, which I don't understand how that's possible at at the today show. Every door there locks behind you. You need a card key to get access everywhere. So I'm actually surprised that that was able to happen. I mean, you know, you're you're in Rockefeller Center for Christ's sake. I mean, how how do you get access anywhere around there? Right? You would think that entire building would be, you know, secure to the nth degree.
but yeah, but you know, they've gotta do a better job protecting their people, especially, you know, in the age of Trump and fake news.
Brock Ganeles (26:18.219)
But what's a guy like that's grievance? What what do you think like what's the grievance? Why? Why do you wake up this morning and say, Okay, I'm gonna go down to Rockfeller Center, I'm going to break into the MBC studios if I can get in there so I can yell racial slurs at the two on air personalities that are black? Like w what exactly is you know
Mark Hayes (26:40.396)
Yeah, B. It could be anything from mental health to racism to, you know, my wife left me, how dare she? You know, who knows? Right? I'm betting it's some sort of mental health, you know, breakdown. but who knows? That's why people get pushed onto the train tracks. God forbid that happen again in New York City. Right? I mean, think about some of the craziest things we've heard on the train, you know, that have taken place on subway platforms.
you know, that are related to mental health. So, you know, it's frightening. you know, but we're glad that no one was hurt. We wish Savannah Guthrie the best. and that's a great place for us to do a quick hit 'cause I know you've got other pressing appointments. Mike, I got a quick hit for you.
Brock Ganeles (27:25.845)
Yeah, yeah, real fresh. What do you got for me?
Mark Hayes (27:29.534)
Alright, World Cup. The trophy itself is actually being carted around to the stadium for the Victor in a Louis Vuitton style trunk to preserve its pristine shine. Louis Vuitton designed a trunk to carry the World Cup trophy. You know how many hungry people we could feed with that trunk?
But I won't go there. Listen, we've had a blast in Atlanta. Atlanta is calling this a once in a generation financial boom. We we are leading the the the World Cup in fan experience attendance. We have a fan fan center, a FIFA center, and it's been slam packed for what 37 of the 39 days or
Yeah, no thirty six on the thirty.
Brock Ganeles (28:27.995)
In the end in the end, how did the racist Argentinian contingent, which was huge, get along with the citizens of maybe can I call it America's black capital, Atlanta? How did those how did those two how did those two get along?
Mark Hayes (28:44.812)
Yeah. Yeah.
Let's just say that I've seen some some really interesting social clips where no one from Argentina apparently was warned that we have African American police officers here in Atlanta and they do their job very aggressively when provoked. they don't like being called the N-word, and apparently Argentina fans love to use that word and throw it around rather loosely. But we don't have ice here in Atlanta, we have rice.
Street, which is the Fulton County jail, where people end up haha when you get arrested. And boy, let me tell you, that thing is 99.9% black. So you can go in the right street if you want to, tripping, but it ain't gonna be nice for you. So there is justice.
Brock Ganeles (29:40.364)
So some of those fans got got cuff cuffed and detained. No, that's gonna be a that's that's not how they wanted to Yeah, as I say, that's not how they wanted to celebrate that win yesterday. Okay, I got okay, I got what a quick one for you. Okay, so Jay Z sells out Yankee Stadium for three nights, brings back a ton a ton of people around him.
Mark Hayes (29:42.924)
Yeah, they were detained. Cuffed and stuffed. Yeah. I'd love to go to some of those hearings too.
Nope.
Mark Hayes (30:00.739)
Mm-hmm.

Why do you think he took the occasion to take shots at Colin Kaepernick and to also in an almost mocking way mock like economic boycotts as a way of fighting the system? Like why did he use the what what's the story there? Why did he use that forum to do one or both of those things?
Mark Hayes (30:30.964)
Yeah, I I don't know. it doesn't make sense to me. aside from his deal with the NFL. You know, he's part of the corporate structure at the NFL, right? He's the guy who you know, is in charge of the music or whatever for the halftime shows. And he's had an issue, you know, with some of the other rappers ever since he
picked Kendrick Lamar over Lil Wayne, aka Wheezy down in New Orleans, where Wheezy is from. So, you know, there's been, you know, fester there's there's been a lot of Jay-Z Hayton in the hip-hop world. number one, because of his massive success. Number two, because of how poorly he has treated artists. See, he went from, you know, the the guy down here to the guy up here.
So when he went to the guy up here that was calling the shots, he had to treat the guys down at the bottom where he used to be, you know, like the Clive Davises of the world. Clive Davis was worth what, a billion dollars? And, you know, his artist from 30 years ago is still touring, trying to trying to keep the lights on. Right? So, you know, it's it look, it's a it's a difficult game. The target boycott drew the ire of Jamal Bryant right away.
You know, he should have known that was coming. I haven't been back to Target since that whole thing started. and I won't be going back. and that's see, one thing Donald Trump did was do something that almost nobody else has been able to do in the history of black America, and that is bring black folk together. And black folk got so together on that target boycott, you saw what happened to them, their shares dropped.
Brock Ganeles (32:24.637)
Wha why's Jay Z wanna why does he wanna poke a hole in that? Why doesn't he want to like embolden black people to like exert the power that they do have in the ways that they have it? Like it just didn't make sense to me.
Mark Hayes (32:35.864)
We'll remember.
Mark Hayes (32:41.228)
Yeah, well, I think as a part of the NFL structure. Remember Colin Kaepernick took on the NFL. So yeah, I can take shots at the the NFL might be saying to Jay Z A Jay Z, we need you to knock Colin Kaepernick down. You know, even though we don't hear from him a lot, we're hearing from him too much. Take some shots at him when you get a chance.
Brock Ganeles (33:00.523)
Yeah, it's bad timing though, because Ca Kaepernick's funding this autopsy for Z really well, so it seems like yeah, it's terrible timing. Hm.
Mark Hayes (33:04.448)
Yes, indeed. It's horrible timing. It's horrible timing. But then again, the NFL owns a couple of days of the week. So they they do what they want when they want. Right? A new season's about to begin. you know, they're coming off their treatment a year ago of Deion Sanderson, one of the greatest players to ever play the game. Like the NFL never stops with their overt racism.
Right? You got you got two cute kubiaks, right? How many Shanahans? How many how many Schottenheimers? Right? How many Reeds? How you know? How many you know sons of NFL head coaches are there? Right? Shanahans. Right? Like they're all over the place. But yet you get one African American, you know.
Brock Ganeles (33:35.787)
Yeah.
Brock Ganeles (33:56.777)
Okay.
Mark Hayes (34:00.238)
Player who's still gotta come in and prove his worth. You look, you don't sneak on to an NFL roster. I don't care if you're a punter. You're not sneaking on to anybody's NFL roster. There's no place to hide. Because at some point you you've gotta perform. Whether it's in practice or in a game, you have to be able to perform and keep up with the other, you know, what is it, fifty five guys on the team, whatever a roster is now. But, you know, at the same time, bro.
You know, the NFL is thirty two good old boys that want the system done their way. And when they want things to go their way, they're gonna go their way. And that's what they say.
A revolution.
Brock Ganeles (34:42.631)
All right, disappointing. All right, Mark. Always a pleasure. Pick it up again tomorrow.
Mark Hayes (34:45.078)
Yeah, bro.
See you next time, buddy. Alrighty. Peace.
Mm-hmm.
