IRAN is kicking USA and Donald Trumps BUTT..

MARK HAYES (00:02.276)
All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another exciting episode of Two Men in Black and White and Honest Conversation. I'm pissed off on this Friday. Donald Trump is just a remarkable, one of the most astonishing and remarkable idiots to ever hold office. I mean, this lunatic actually said out loud that he was going to end the war when he felt it in his bones. That's a direct quote from a man who needs to have the 25th Amendment.

enacted upon him immediately. The latest from Iran, let's see, we got a deadly plane crash, all six service members died, bringing our total, believe, to 13. The Pentagon is considering deploying the Marines and ground forces to get more of our boys and women hacked up.

And then we got some stuff going on in the Strait of Hormuz where Iran is considering letting, you know, a few ships through with certain terms. So let's talk about it. and Ellis joins me live for the beautiful confines of the upper Hudson River Valley. Brock, you're all out of Harlem, USA. We thank you for coming down to visit the brothers and sisters. And now it's time for revolution. Now you're a part of the revolution.

All right, let's get into it bro. First of all, Donald Trump, he's gonna feel it in his bones. What an idiot. What an idiot. What a remarkable underestimation of what Iran was capable of.

Brock Ganeles (01:41.258)
Not only, I guess no one ever has to go to West Point, right? There doesn't need to have war strategy or any knowledge of anything that's ever happened before in any conflict.

You can just go by when you feel it in your bones, right? So beyond the lack of strategy, the horrendous communication, right? Even the NFL players were pissed, right? Nintendo Wii makers were pissed, right? Because they're doing these childish memes to try to communicate the war as if it's like they're playing a game. Beyond that, Trump is really being exposed as, you know, one of the just a pathological liar. And he's just being caught left and

MARK HAYES (01:54.06)
Yeah.

MARK HAYES (02:12.012)
Right.

MARK HAYES (02:19.63)
There he is.

Brock Ganeles (02:21.26)
right on almost half you know everything that he says he's just bullshitting his way through it from the bombing of the the elementary school to telling european leaders two days ago the war would end in like a week to then you know 48 hours later he has no idea 72 hours later it's whenever he feels it in his bones like it's just directionless there's no strategy there's no way there's no there's no end game right because there was no goal going in and then if the goal became regime

MARK HAYES (02:40.91)
Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (02:51.26)
change okay swapping out the 80 fucking six-year-old guy for the 50 year old son with pretty much the exact same you know governing ethos and ideology what the fuck what the fuck have you gained except throwing the entire international economy into turmoil

MARK HAYES (03:03.938)
ideology. Yeah.

Right.

MARK HAYES (03:15.512)
Yeah, nothing. We've gained nothing. We've gained nothing. We're losing badly. We're losing billions and billions of dollars worth of equipment and ammunition. We're losing buildings, hard and fast compounds, our embassies. They are basically taking out the infrastructure for the United States in the Middle East right now. That's what Iran's doing.

Brock Ganeles (03:43.864)
with the help of Russia. We're losing soldiers, We're losing economic growth, we're wealth, stock market's banking. And we're prestige in the international community. And really we're losing influence in the world.

MARK HAYES (03:46.466)
We can help a Russian.

Yep.

MARK HAYES (04:01.869)
Yes.

Brock Ganeles (04:07.148)
because when countries like Italy who, you know, Trump loved that, what's her name, Maloney, who now runs it, she's pretty right wing in Italy, Italy even wants absolutely no part of what they peacefully view as our shenanigans in Iran that they just see no benefit in, right? And that's basically the way pretty much all of Europe is viewing

MARK HAYES (04:22.572)
Shit show.

Brock Ganeles (04:32.588)
this intervention by America as just something that's useless and a nuisance to them because it's hurting their economy. Like Germany's getting crushed because their energy prices are up. Right. So just all of Europe's just absolutely pissed at us. And we have no explanation for them. Right. We're just our explanation is basically like, you know, fuck you. Fuck everyone. Right.

MARK HAYES (04:55.3)
Right. And, you know, look, this this all comes down to the death of expertise, Tom Nichols book, right? He characterized what was going on perfectly in that book. Because we don't think expertise matters anymore. You've got the, you know, Budweiser Pete, you know, Pabst blue ribbon Pete at the helm of the Pentagon and the Department of Defense.

AKA Department of War, which is just a ridiculous, nonsensical change that was made just because these guys have small Peters or something. I don't know. But you know, the fact of the matter is the rest of the world is looking at us like we're a joke. Remember when Ivanka went overseas and tried to mingle with world leaders and the other ladies, she was in that little group of ladies and tried to

give her little two cents and they looked at her like, are you fucking serious? What are you doing talking to us? You don't know shit about shit. That's how the rest of the world is looking at us. You recall the look of disgust and disdain those ladies gave Ivanka? That's how the rest of the world is looking at us right now.

Brock Ganeles (06:12.834)
Yeah, but they're somewhat fearful because they don't think that there's anything that keeps us in essence in line and we have so much fucking power. We're depleting it by just running our way through all these this ammunition, which is going to cost us a boatload and chip away at the American economy yet again. And the social structure in America, because the money is going to go to building replacement military equipment instead of going into anything that feeds people, saves lives.

lives, prolonged lives. What's that?

MARK HAYES (06:44.279)
at your feet.

educates. We're not going to put any money in education.

Brock Ganeles (06:48.936)
educates us, right? Yeah. So we're just going to go on the climb there. mean, Hegseth's number one issue with what's going on in the war is he doesn't think CNN is covering it in a fair way because they're asking him critical questions. Like that's his biggest concern about the entire endeavor is that he wants like CBS Paramount to hurry up and ingest CNN and drop in a whole bunch of Fox light newscasts.

So no one asks them a tough question and they all pretend like the war is going well. That's his biggest concern. Not the six military people that crashed and died. Not the fact that we can't get any oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz and it's crippling the world economy. Not that he has deployed our military without a strategy, a goal, an end game, or even proper rules of engagement.

engagement He's worried about how the how they how CNN the questions CNN are asking him in his you laughing stock of press conferences That's where we're at right? That's what happens when you hire a TV guy to run the fucking your wars right all he's gonna care about is how he looks on TV

MARK HAYES (07:49.837)
Ugh.

MARK HAYES (08:10.306)
Right. Some buffoon who's got no clue. And yeah, that's what we got here. So here's what else is going on though. And let's help people understand why this is important because the straight of our moves ran up basically shut down. But Iran is considering letting a limited number of ships pass through, tanker ships with oil on one condition.

that those transactions be made in the Chinese yuan, the Chinese currency. So, Brock, let's talk about why this is bad for the US dollar and bad for America.

Brock Ganeles (08:55.352)
Look, it's been a significant economic and world leadership and national security advantage.

for the world to basically view the American dollar as the reserve currency in the world. Right? Transactions just are done in dollars. And it gives the U.S. an advantage in terms of our costs and borrowing costs, which we're certainly always borrowing money.

But I would argue, all the political science guy that I was back in the day in that the soft power that having the dollars reserve currency is a major benefit of national security for America because we're able to put sanctions on countries. We're able to monitor the way money flows around the world, block things, track things, always know where the flow is, cut off bad actors.

MARK HAYES (09:50.134)
Right. Right.

Brock Ganeles (09:56.192)
because they couldn't get funded if everything works its way back through dollars. You know this is why I'm a critic of cryptocurrencies because it just allows traction transactions that government can't track. Now we're all worried about surveillance and the like, facial recognition, but

MARK HAYES (10:08.217)
Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (10:15.614)
Economic surveillance, I would argue, is something we like as a country because it gives us a lot of advantages in terms of security and being able to monitor what's going on out there. It's harder for terrorists to get their hands on big dollars when America can track everything. Well, Iran knows that, so they're smart. So they're fucking with us right here by saying, we'll we'll let, you know, boats, tankers through if they go in the wand, because that moves

MARK HAYES (10:36.644)
Thank

Brock Ganeles (10:45.52)
the world away from the American dollar being that reserve currency. It chips away at American soft power and American soft power is hugely important because when you have a of soft power, you don't have to go to war all the time whenever you need to get shit done. Iran's fucking with us. It's very smart of them.

MARK HAYES (11:02.356)
Right. Right.

All day long, all day long, they're giving us the business because Iran has a 94 % literacy rate. 94%, what are we hearing in the United States of America? What are we, 55, 60 %?

Brock Ganeles (11:22.69)
Yeah, I was going to say it's about in line with how often we vote, slightly better than our voter turnout rates.

MARK HAYES (11:27.948)
Right. Exactly. Exactly. And we think they're not outsmarting us on the likes of Hegseth, Cash Patel. What's Cash Patel going to do in a terrorism investigation? God help us if we have a terrorist attack.

Brock Ganeles (11:49.464)
Well, look, we've had two minor ones just yesterday, right? At Old Dominion University, they shot a military officer, I believe. And I think as it turns out, I can't remember whether it this or the Detroit Synagogue, you know, in essence, car attack.

MARK HAYES (11:52.164)
Right. Yep.

Yep. Yep, yep.

Brock Ganeles (12:08.8)
where it turns out that the perpetrator who in both cases died had his family had four family members killed in Lebanon. Well, shit, if Israel is going to carpet bomb Lebanon. Yeah, there's a lot of people in America who have family there who are going to be distraught and inspired for revenge.

MARK HAYES (12:08.877)
Right.

MARK HAYES (12:19.32)
Yep. Yep.

MARK HAYES (12:34.712)
They don't have to be radicalized.

Brock Ganeles (12:35.63)
We're human beings like the rest of us. If any of us were watching our families getting bombed and killed, we'd have emotional responses. And those of us prone to violence, we perpetrate violence. So of course we're less safe, and there's no fucking way, Cash Patel.

MARK HAYES (12:42.904)
blown away.

MARK HAYES (12:52.91)
Yep.

Brock Ganeles (12:57.45)
is doing anything about it. God knows he's got more, you know, officers, you know, tracking his, his girlfriend's friends on a night out in Nashville. Then we have tracking down potential terrorist assailants in the U S

MARK HAYES (13:11.588)
Talk to them, talk to them. You better tell them what's going on out here. How do we reach white America to let them know something's gotta be done here? These your people, you gotta talk to them. Black America, we know what time it is and we're not fooling around outside with Donald Trump.

Brock Ganeles (13:28.942)
Well, hopefully, I mean that synagogue gets in and hopefully a little bit of a wake up call to Jewish America, which I think a lot of whom are lost right now because they are so pro-Israel that they're on board with Netanyahu's aggressive actions, which most of America has turned against. But a lot of American Jews are still on board because they just say, hey, Israel has to defend itself and they kind of give carte blanche to Netanyahu. But when you're being that aggressive and you're killing other people around you,

You may be able to justify it, but there's no doubt it makes you less safe in America because there's a lot of people that Absolutely, totally disagree and are watching their loved ones get injured and killed Well, you know and but so the Jews can't turn and they don't want to to the Republican Party because the Republican Party's flat on anti-semitic They're walking around Virginia with like, you know tiki torches and you know Nazi fucking tattoos So I'd say Jews in America are lost right now

MARK HAYES (14:08.397)
Yep.

Yep.

MARK HAYES (14:22.392)
me.

You Nazi fucking deaf.

Brock Ganeles (14:28.762)
but that's a whole other topic we could talk about. But we're certainly, we are certainly less safe in America right now, because we're targets and Jews are always targets, but Jews are even more targets right now because Israel has committed war crimes and is now, you know, has manipulated the US into an asinine war. And now it's just absolutely decimating Lebanon.

MARK HAYES (14:36.652)
No doubt. No doubt.

MARK HAYES (14:57.12)
Right, right.

Brock, there's no, no one's coming to save us, right? There is no cavalry coming to see us. Coming to save us rather. What? Like if we don't do it, we can't count on Hakeem and chuckles. So if we don't do, if we the people ain't gonna do it, are we just gonna sit here and watch our democracy unravel?

and die this slow painful stupid death. That's what we're seeing right now. This military plan, if there was a plan, it was executed with neolithic incompetence. I mean, it was, was there even a plan? I mean, it was kind of like he just woke up and said, yeah, I think I'll bomb Iran today.

Brock Ganeles (15:56.382)
Absolutely not. Israel had a plan. Israel had a plan. They sold Trump on their plan.

MARK HAYES (16:01.156)
Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (16:03.63)
Because they wanted to, you know, they always want to bomb Iran. They've been talking about it for 30 years. They finally found a president that gave them not only carte blanche, but joined in on the party, right? And started bombing along with them. And now look at Israel just bombing the shit out of Lebanon. Lebanon's like crying, the government crying and for pleading for help. But no one's helping them. But Israel, you know, I get it. They want to take out Hezbollah. But think of all the residual deaths.

MARK HAYES (16:03.693)
Right.

MARK HAYES (16:13.56)
Right.

MARK HAYES (16:25.23)
Right.

Brock Ganeles (16:33.664)
and carnage that's going on in that effort. So yeah, no plan, no American plan for an America first president. What's America first about this? But I'd say if we're to criticize ourselves and our politicians is like, we're not nearly anti-war enough as a people. I get it in the polls, maybe 52 % of the people will say we shouldn't be bombing Iran. How is that number not like in the 70s closer to where

MARK HAYES (16:37.144)
Right.

MARK HAYES (16:42.542)
Ha!

MARK HAYES (16:53.953)
at the

Brock Ganeles (17:03.504)
Trump's disapproval is, least in 60s, they're low 60s. If you're just like, I get it, don't like, Iran's no friend of ours, and we love regime change, but you know there's a lot of governments in the world that would like to see other regimes changed. This war is nonsensical.

MARK HAYES (17:05.314)
Right.

MARK HAYES (17:21.752)
Right.

Brock Ganeles (17:27.156)
and has done significant. We're losing the war. We're only 10 days into it. We're losing the war. We need to get the fuck out now. We do not need to be doubling down on this. We need to get it the fuck out right away. This is a flat out mistake by a dementia ridden narcissistic maniac.

MARK HAYES (17:31.854)
Big time. Big time.

MARK HAYES (17:51.78)
Ugh.

Brock Ganeles (17:54.446)
manipulated by Israel and a bunch of, like you said, incompetent fools below him trying to execute this lack of plan. We need to get the fuck out. We need to be much louder and more aggressive about how against this, you know, military aggression we are as the American people. don't think I don't think we have made enough noise in my opinion.

MARK HAYES (17:54.755)
Right.

MARK HAYES (18:05.688)
At least.

MARK HAYES (18:17.444)
2000 people.

2,000 people dead already. 2,000. For what?

Brock Ganeles (18:26.872)
Sounds low. I bet your number will be higher. Yeah.

MARK HAYES (18:28.216)
Yeah, I bet it's low. And Elizabeth Warren came out of a meeting with Trump's top brass, and they could not articulate what this war was about. They could not explain why we were at war. And what I don't understand is why are these other dumb fucks going along with Donald Trump's compromised ass? Just because Donald Trump

has peepee tapes out there on him, why are the rest of these buffoons going along with it? I mean, is it just to keep their jobs?

Brock Ganeles (19:05.678)
Yeah, either they agree or they're afraid to walk away from them now and get on the wrong side of them. What's interesting is, I guess we're not as worried about boats coming in with the fentanyl in the Caribbean anymore, right? Because we're not, yeah, that's not, we're we're not doing that anymore. That imminent threat and that, you know, absolute emergency.

MARK HAYES (19:08.409)
Well, yeah.

MARK HAYES (19:23.267)
that stopped.

They're not doing it anymore.

MARK HAYES (19:33.558)
Yeah. They're taking the same route as the caravans that never made it here. Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (19:36.012)
has just gone away. That one just drifted away into nowhere. I guess we don't have to worry about the boats anymore.

MARK HAYES (19:45.539)
Yeah, the United Nations warned today about the restrictions on the flow of ships through the strait and the immense impact it's going to have on humanitarian efforts. So that's the other, I mean, that's the human side of this, right? We have, you know, the economic financial side, which everybody seems to be more concerned about than the human side, because, you know, people can always eat spent shell casings.

And you know decrepit buildings buildings that have fought war rubble Yeah, and then you can drop some you know, mres on them so they can eat that crap But yeah, you know, let's let's let's let's keep our priorities straight the fuck man What the fuck we got to get trump out of there. He's he's too demented. He's too far gone There's nothing else he can do except make things worse. He

What kind of treasonous bullshit is it of him to admit that Russia is helping Iran as he removes sanctions from Russia so they can continue to make money and offset the help that we're giving Ukraine in this, what are we in, year four now over there? I mean, Jesus, Mary and Kate.

What are we doing? What are we doing with this? How are we letting this guy destroy, destroy? Remember, remember Brock, we were once the envy of the global economy. One, it.

Brock Ganeles (21:29.806)
How is it in any way even close to acceptable that Russia is helping Iran to attack us? Our assets, maybe our people, but definitely our military assets. That's somehow acceptable, yet as a country in our formal international policy,

MARK HAYES (21:38.368)
destroy our shit.

Brock Ganeles (21:54.89)
led by Trump because the president is basically the head of international policy, Russia's a friendly.

MARK HAYES (22:02.222)
Yep, yep. Well, let's not forget where Russia got the information from. Russia got the information from the Trumpster.

From the Trumpster, we know it came from the Trumpster. And Russia, if you're listening, you know, I swear, I'm telling you, Brock, I hope when you and I are in the pearly gates or wherever we can text each other from in the afterlife, communicate.

We need to be able to see these emails that Putin sends Trump.

Brock Ganeles (22:45.112)
But also where's Anonymous? I thought they were gonna leak some stuff. mean, they're on the clock, right? We're two, three days into that.

MARK HAYES (22:49.973)
I know.

Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (22:54.7)
the by the way, on the Epstein side, right? A lot of stories now starting to percolate amongst the the guards in the prison where Epstein was and the tracking of maybe some payments and a lot of chatter amongst the guards that it was pretty widely rumored in their locker room around their water cooler that some of them were involved in that that that was not on the up and up and there's no way he committed suicide. So that story started

MARK HAYES (23:01.795)
Yes.

MARK HAYES (23:16.034)
Mm-hmm.

MARK HAYES (23:24.225)
no.

Brock Ganeles (23:24.674)
and the bubble up, it's not getting the airtime it should because of the bumbling in Iran. In that way, obviously, the war has worked as a diversion.

MARK HAYES (23:33.559)
Right. I mean, we've known this was wag the dog. It's just, you know, what are you trying to divert from? And it was obviously the Epstein files. I, you know, I made the prediction long ago this thing was not going away. It's too voluminous. There's too much in there. There's too much wrongdoing. We've got to see what's going on on that 3500 acre ranch out in New Mexico. How many bodies are out there? I mean, look, we have the technology. We have the skill. We can find it.

If it's there, we can find it. If there are bones out there, we can find it. And we need to. Because if you put the math together and get the math math in properly, we can, they tell us in the emails who got oopsed and you know, who got done away with and who had to go. So we know, right? They're least.

At least from what we know a half dozen murder indictments waiting to happen out of there At least that's just what we know of so far And when's Pam Bondi going to the hill like she's got a whole lot of explaining to do Pammy Jo You got some explaining to do And we want to hear these answers under oath You hillbilly

Brock Ganeles (24:49.036)
Yeah, I'm hurting it.

MARK HAYES (25:04.524)
So yeah, look, Iran is 20th, right, in the world in science, right? Top 20 in science, right? 94 % literacy rate. They are way smarter than us. What did DL, Kugli say? They done fucked around and picked a fight with fucking tech support. These folks, we got hackers, know, targeting companies now.

Brock Ganeles (25:25.463)
Yeah

MARK HAYES (25:33.515)
US companies? Wait till they shut down our banking system, Brock, or hit one of our power grids down in Texas that already suck. Wait till that happens. What's MAGA gonna say then when they're burning up their asses off in their hot ass Texas homes? What are they gonna say then? It's not Donald Trump's fault.

Who you gonna fire then? Cash Patel? Miles Taylor? Who you gonna fire? Miles Taylor is gone! You don't have anybody running cyber security. It's coming bro, it's coming.

Brock Ganeles (26:09.038)
Yeah, no one gets fired. It's amazing. 15 months, Kristi Noem is the only one who's gotten fired.

MARK HAYES (26:19.692)
Right, right. And that was because she couldn't stay out of the news.

Brock Ganeles (26:26.638)
All right, so I want to segue. I want to do my quick hit. I want to do a little postmortem on my trip to Harlem. I happen to be back in the friendly confines of the Hudson River Valley. So it's four days. Four days. I didn't get there. No, I was running around so much. I didn't get to Billy's. I was supposed to go last night. I was too tired. I conked out finally on day four. And I did spend most of my business time midtown. And, you know, this trip wasn't

MARK HAYES (26:27.15)
Thank you.

MARK HAYES (26:34.308)
DO IT!

Did you get the famous fish market?

Yuck.

Brock Ganeles (26:54.016)
I didn't make a decision, hey, I want to stay in Harlem and immerse myself in this part of town for four days. Yeah, it was just by happenstance because it was my white strip that I tagged along on. But the one thing that that becomes so obvious, and by the way, I got more comfortable there every day, right? Then all of sudden I'm waving at the guy in the cart who's right in front, right? Like you start getting another people seeing him every day, right?

MARK HAYES (26:58.818)
in culture.

MARK HAYES (27:05.208)
Mm-hmm.

MARK HAYES (27:13.762)
I'm sure.

MARK HAYES (27:21.22)
I love

Brock Ganeles (27:23.822)
But it just goes to show what a fallacy race is. I maybe I could be identified as a white guy. mean, but race, what becomes obvious is like race is not ethnicity, race is not heritage. It's this made up thing. I'm just gonna be honest, like there's so many different shades of colors. Like you're walking down the street and I'm like, well, who's even considered quote black?

MARK HAYES (27:28.164)
It's a joke.

MARK HAYES (27:50.658)
Right.

Brock Ganeles (27:50.926)
Who's like Brown? what do we like have some sort of, do we get, you know, is there some sort of AI that decides what race everyone is or how, what color they are? Right? Cause it's such a mix and match. If you put 10 people on a lineup, I couldn't even necessarily tell you, right?

MARK HAYES (28:03.512)
Well, see that's a bit bit...

MARK HAYES (28:11.138)
Who's back and who ain't? Right.

Brock Ganeles (28:12.558)
Who decides if someone Asian marries someone Latino like you know, whatever I guess their skin is a little darker than mine This time of year certainly when I'm at my palace right after I haven't been inside for four months Shit in this right in the summer after like a few days being outside. We all look browner, right? I don't know. Maybe it's the way the hairs. I'm just the whole point is

MARK HAYES (28:22.723)
Yeah.

Me too!

Brock Ganeles (28:39.406)
When you're there and you start interacting with people that are supposedly people of color, you start seeing, right? The guy who the street cart guy right there was Jamaican, right? Where I got my dinner on Tuesday night and bullshitted for a while, right? With his music and what he was making and this, that and the other thing, right? But okay, I guess he's African American, but he would view himself as Jamaican first, right? I guess the color of the skin was black, but he's, you know, he's clearly Jamaican.

MARK HAYES (29:05.38)
Right.

Brock Ganeles (29:09.6)
his business is Jamaican, his whole messaging and his banners, right? His cart, right? He's selling Jamaican cuisine on the street. Right? So maybe his heritage goes beyond that to African American because, but who the fuck knows is my point, right?

MARK HAYES (29:20.452)
Mmm. Mmm.

MARK HAYES (29:29.996)
Right. Right.

Brock Ganeles (29:31.148)
But he has a different heritage and he's delivering a different sort of cultural ethnicity to me in making that food that I'm buying from him, right? He's not just a black guy lumped in like all black guys together, right? He actually has a distinct heritage, right, that he's presenting upfront. And it just goes to show it's like it's so we've concocted this thing called race. It's not.

people's culture or ethnicity or how they identify. But white people created this whole mechanism to stratify society. Right. That was it. And you can tell. and in New York,

MARK HAYES (30:08.429)
that's social con. Yep.

Yep.

Brock Ganeles (30:16.5)
as much as it's a melting pot and as much as people, some people I talked to when I went to some of my business meetings, particularly people of color were kind of laughing at me saying like, Harlem's not like it used to be, man. There's tons of white people. They're like, man, Harlem's nothing these days. basically like, you know, it's become, you know.

MARK HAYES (30:31.178)
Right?

Brock Ganeles (30:35.822)
Tons of white people up in Harlem. They were telling to me, right? And when you get, when you start taking the subway down, start, once you hit like 96th street and you get the upper west side where I used to live, right? You go from a subway cart that has a lot of black people on it and some white people. And then all of sudden all kinds of white people getting on, right? Cause you're moving like into a different part of town and you see how even in a melting pot city like New York is even siloed. Now, of course, when I come back home,

MARK HAYES (30:38.628)
Hey.

MARK HAYES (30:50.968)
Right?

MARK HAYES (30:55.044)
Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (31:05.775)
It's like 100 % silo, right? Now I'm like back in my little, you know, way to enclave. All right, long way of saying I learned a lot. It's almost like everyone should do it. I didn't intentionally do it. It's interesting that we have this conversation every day and then for the first time in my life, I actually stayed in Harlem for four days.

MARK HAYES (31:12.014)
Well, and.

MARK HAYES (31:24.356)
Well, Brock, once you're in it and you realize nobody's thinking about who you are until somebody says something, right? Like, didn't matter to me that we had 12 black kids in our senior class at Walter Panis. We might have had 40 total in the whole school. Didn't matter, right? Until somebody dropped some kind of stupid ass comment on

Right? And then we realized, okay, you know, we're really out of place. But until that happens, like nobody was thinking about you, Brock. People are like, yo, he's in Harlem. must know, he must be here for a reason. He minding his business, I'ma mind mine.

Brock Ganeles (32:09.71)
except for that one wisecrack from that woman which she didn't want me to hear which was kind of funny and didn't like bother me it was sort of like it got me chuckling but yeah I went to the gym up there to Planet Fitness it was across the street and yeah I was the only white guy in there who nobody fucking gave a shit right everyone's on their heads everyone's on their headphones watching TV or listening to music absolutely did not care if I came or went right as they should

MARK HAYES (32:22.67)
Yeah.

Right!

MARK HAYES (32:34.766)
Right, and nobody said what you doing here working out? What's the white guy doing working out? He must want to be physically fit too. You know? Yeah, bro.

Brock Ganeles (32:40.686)
Nobody, nobody, nobody cared. The businesses were happy to see me, right? you know, you're buying a beer here, you're bellying up to the bar. You want to keep that. You're going to keep that card open or you're going to close it out, right?

MARK HAYES (32:52.035)
Yep.

MARK HAYES (32:56.228)
Exactly. And that's the thing, man. You know, we're all people, bro. You know, my parents taught me that early on. Right. And my dad, my dad used to say idiots come in all sizes, shapes and colors. You know, but but we're all people. And, you know, because we had a lot of conversations about the work that Dr. King was trying to do and other civil rights activists and and then Roots, when Roots came out.

You know, we had a lot of family discussions about Roots. You know, we were, what, eight, nine years old when Roots came out. Man, that was, it was, and I watched the series, you know, as a kid with my parents. And then we had to talk about it. Cause there was some tough stuff in there. And so, you know, I had to have context for it. That was back when we used to eat dinner together, right? And we used to talk to each other.

Right? Without phones, without headphones, without all that shit. And so, you know, I was able to get some context about race and understand it a little bit. It was still a lot, you know, pretty much over my head. But as the years went on, you know, we had these continuous conversations, especially my dad. My dad was very conscious of it because he knew, you know, about the frustrations that I dealt with, especially with athletics.

And then every now and then I'd have a jackass comment from a teacher or something. One time I had a teacher say, when I won the eighth grade spelling bee, one of the teachers said, oh, so you're not just a class clown. And I was hurt. What makes you think I don't have any intellectual ability? And so me and my dad had a conversation about that.

but my dad never ever allowed me to use it as an excuse. And I think that's culturally where we run into some issues where when we're seeing, I'll never forget we had a hockey game here in Atlanta against a team from North Carolina. And every time we played this team, we had issues. One of the boys who was probably eight years old at the time,

MARK HAYES (35:21.582)
called my son the N word and we went and spoke to his mom afterwards. And she was just matter of fact, what's the problem? She didn't see what the issue was. And I was like, well, I said, Scott, I said to our coach, said, Scott, if that's her attitude, why am I wasting my time with her? This kid's going nowhere.

Brock Ganeles (35:31.406)
Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (35:42.424)
You know, this is why normally I wouldn't care and I pretty much ignored it my whole life, but I heard recently now they're trying to like quote work their way into high schools is why I'm so anti that turning point USA because generally it was the teachers and coaches that made the shitty comments to write like more even than other peers because like that older generation was 20 years behind the times, right?

MARK HAYES (36:05.283)
Right.

Right.

Brock Ganeles (36:08.62)
So I don't like when I hear about like these real racist organizations working their way into high schools and colleges and trying to to chain, in essence, pull kids away from living in the more integrated world they're in and trying to get them to act like 1950s white people instead of 2026 white kids who've grown up in a more melting pot integrated way and are, think by nature, less racist.

MARK HAYES (36:14.211)
Yeah.

MARK HAYES (36:24.332)
Right.

MARK HAYES (36:32.203)
don't know.

Brock Ganeles (36:36.706)
You know, because we're moving in the right direction over time, but turning point USA type of organizations are trying to turn back the clock. So I think they're detrimental because they're trying to, you know, in essence, push kids into a certain way of white supremacy type thinking. And that's where it gets, that's where it gets dangerous.

MARK HAYES (37:00.162)
Yeah, and it's frustrating that that's going on, man. So I'm glad you had a great experience in old Harlem, USA. I wish you had got the famous fish. I go there every time I'm home. We ride out from Queens and go over there and hit up Harlem. There's some great eateries. How'd you like the Red Rooster?

Brock Ganeles (37:20.27)
I loved the Red Rooster. I didn't eat there, I drank there, drank at the bar. Live music, they had live music going on a Tuesday night and place was, great energy. Felt great in there. Pretty mixed crowd in Red Rooster because it's like an iconic place, right? So people are coming from all over the city to go to dinner at Red Rooster. You know?

MARK HAYES (37:23.94)
Yeah.

MARK HAYES (37:32.355)
Ryan.

MARK HAYES (37:36.995)
Mm-hmm.

MARK HAYES (37:45.368)
Mm-hmm.

Brock Ganeles (37:46.766)
Yeah, but it was great. And I just love live music. So you get the singer right there at the bar. You feel like you're getting a free, great performance. So yeah, big fan. I didn't know I was able to just walk in. I thought I was gonna have to get a reservation or something, this and that. No, but that woman was right. Of course she was right. She knows it, right? She works for them. So like, no, just walk right in, step up to the bar. Which is what I did.

MARK HAYES (37:53.924)
Yeah.

MARK HAYES (37:58.114)
Yeah, classy joint,

MARK HAYES (38:10.725)
Classy joint. All right, Broham, let's connect tomorrow and we'll do it again. Rerack it. with us. Revolution.

Brock Ganeles (38:16.366)

Brock Ganeles (38:19.982)
