Is Trump Facing Two Miserable Years Ahead? Nope. He'll be Fine But the American People Will Struggle

Mark Hayes (00:01.294)
Alright, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back. Another exciting edition of Two Men in Black and White, an honest conversation. I'm your host, Mark Hayes, along with Brock Dinnellis, joining me from Kasciusco, Mississippi. Way down in the deeper south than I am in the ATL. Brock, how you making out? You still surviving? How those grits treating you?

Brock Ganeles (00:22.632)
It it feels deep. Mark, I couldn't even find anything open for breakfast this morning. I went around the town at like eight AM. Nothing was open. I mean people are eas easing their way into the day. making out okay. I think it's ninety eight degrees out. And you know, it's a beautiful part of the country. mean semen has to bring so much racism with it. I get

Mark Hayes (00:30.316)
No. You're you're up early.

Mark Hayes (00:39.202)
Yeah. Sounds good.

Brock Ganeles (00:50.476)
So I'm I'm I'm s I'm surviving, not thriving in Caseyoko. But I've had some interesting conversations once again, particularly with a bunch of black people down here. I'm I'm little bit surprised about how like kind of integrated this town is. Like you're in the store, black people, white people. I went to the gym earlier today. Black people, white people. I don't know if they were friends or talk to each other, but they were definitely just like

Mark Hayes (00:55.916)
Yeah. Well, you know it's it's

Mark Hayes (01:07.582)
Brock Ganeles (01:16.406)
Living lives in an intertwined way. Maybe it's such a small town that it's harder to get away from each other.

Mark Hayes (01:23.211)
Mm.

Mark Hayes (01:27.83)
Yeah. Atlanta's like that, where it's very integrated but separate. Yeah, you know, you'll see a lot of people, especially like where I raised my kids up in Alpharetta, you saw a lot like I'd go to the gym lifetime fitness and see a lot of African Americans, lot of white Americans, but never the two shall meet. you know, and that's it's just the way it is in the South. you know, I used to ask my dad, I was like, Dad, you know, what what in the hell's going on? He's like, More

You where you are? Come on man, you know where you are. And sure enough, you know, the way we do it.

Brock Ganeles (02:02.625)
People people are so ov yeah. The people are so overtly friendly. Like out of out of their way friendly, which feels nice, you know, y you're getting a lot of chit chatty, you know, kind of, you know, empty calories conversations very easily. Unlike in New York where people are just on the move, right? Boom, coffee, donut, outta here, you know, like just everyone's moving.

Mark Hayes (02:23.735)
Mm-hmm.

Mark Hayes (02:29.9)
Right. Right.

Brock Ganeles (02:31.221)
but when they're talking like people are really talking and engaging or arguing and here it's like the the nicety level is really, really incredible and so noticeable everywhere you go, but then I keep thinking like, wow, people being nice to each other. Even black people and white people being nice to each other, but like the thing in the back of their head is like I'm gonna vote and make sure that fucker can't even get voting rights, you know? And is the black people person thinking, well look at this person being nice to me, but I I don't really wanna turn my back on her when I walk away and

You know what? That person views me as like second class citizen. Like is it just beneath the is it just kept beneath the surface? You know, that's the sense you get that everything's nice and dandy up here, but beneath the surface, like what's really going on?

Mark Hayes (03:05.687)
Less than human.

Mark Hayes (03:09.741)
Yeah.

Mark Hayes (03:13.261)
Yeah.

It's the real feeling. Yeah. and it's a ma I've seen it turn on a dime. You know, living in a predominantly white community all, you know, the entire 19 years that I've lived here in Atlanta, you know, I've seen those situations where you think, you know, somebody might be genuine and then all of a sudden. I told you about that experience with the neighbor.

I just walked up it to him in the driveway. get out of here. He didn't even, just get out of here. I don't have time. Me and my my elderly mother, my mother was 87 at the time. I mean, how menacing could we have looked? Right? Like, how fast is she gonna run away after the crime? get out of here, get out of here. I knew the wife, knew the daughter.

Mark Hayes (04:13.634)
Didn't even all they saw was black and brown.

And knew they didn't want to interact and

Brock Ganeles (04:20.981)
Mark, I stayed at the Weston in yeah I mean I was staying at the Weston in Jackson. Almost all the employees were black. There was a very nice restaurant attached to that hotel there, and almost every patron in the restaurant was white. So like white and black people were sort of intermingling in that way. They were crossing lives, but like they were living life different. One was like the worker and one was enjoying the area.

Mark Hayes (04:26.285)
Right.

Mark Hayes (04:49.899)
One was the help.

Brock Ganeles (04:50.293)
I had a long talk. Yeah, I had a long talk with a valet. I was a black young black guy. And I just asked him the questions. I told him I'd do a podcast. I was like, I'm gonna ask you a few questions, Valet to come down here. Ended up talking for 30 minutes. Two things, two big takeaways. One he's like Brock, he tells me he's like Sir. He wouldn't say Brock, he's like calling me sir and stuff, right? He's been really very, very res overly respectful. But he said, like down here, he goes, Down here?

When white people are racist, the ones who are really racist, he's like, you know it. They let you know it right up front. And then he just whips a he's like, car drives by you and he just goes, and they just yell out the window and he hits the N-word, like rolls off his tongue. And you know, people in the Northeast in New York, black people don't use the N-word around white people a lot. Like they don't. Like it just they they don't. Maybe amongst friends they'll say something, but they don't use it.

Mark Hayes (05:39.309)
No.

Brock Ganeles (05:44.842)
Around the white people. Because they know the white people don't want to use it. It's not he he just he's just out with the word. Found that interesting. But he's like, Brock down here, you have you are it's obvious. They let you know it. They aren't hiding it a bit about how much they hate you. And then the second thing was we were talking about protesting and he he did say, younger kid did say that a lot of his friend group was gonna vote, that people are motivated to vote because they're trying to take it away.

Mark Hayes (05:46.538)
No.

Mark Hayes (06:00.589)
Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (06:15.765)
But we started talking about protests and this and that and he says he says my girlfriend says to me all the time we aren't angry enough yet. We aren't angry enough. And as a woman, she's really angry and she's kinda aggravated that the boyfriend, the guy I was talking to, is kinda mad, but he's not angry enough.

Mark Hayes (06:27.886)
She's right.

Mark Hayes (06:32.93)
You know it.

Mark Hayes (06:40.17)
And yeah.

Brock Ganeles (06:41.239)
And she kept saying to him all the time, not angry enough. I said, Why aren't there more protests? Why haven't we young people, you know, kind of led the surge here? And he said people aren't ang not angry enough yet. And then we talked like fifteen minutes about what could trigger the anger. What will it take? You know, and then we talked about like this Corella Anthony thing and the other kid who got shot and things like that. And he wasn't sure.

Mark Hayes (06:48.928)
Especially young people. Yeah.

Mark Hayes (07:01.774)
Ain't no ta well, you know.

Mark Hayes (07:08.14)
Yeah, we thought that but now the Mr. Chow thing and and the racist rant from an apparent Asian American, I believe, that thing went viral, and now African Americans are protesting Asian businesses. Some of these stores are shutting down. I mean, there was a gentleman, and I don't know how accurate his numbers were, but he said out of the 300 businesses in

Cleveland, Ohio, I believe they they produced like $150 million worth of business. And he just said, you know, if the walk fits, wear it. But we won't be patronizing your businesses. And you know, so I mean, that's the last thing we need is is the you know the the minorities battling with each other, right? Because we all need we need to coalesce.

And come up against white supremacy. White supremacy is having a problem with all of us, not just black folks. Right? They got their foot on the neck of Latinos, Asians. I mean, hey, here in Georgia, we saw one of the most heinous hate crimes, you know, in American history when you know this young man took a high powered rifle and started going into Asian spas and shooting people randomly.

Just out of hate. I mean he drove around the city to different locations to shoot people because he hated Asians. He probably got all jacked up online. And what do they call it? When when you when you're online and you get radicalized. I mean, it's just hate. It's a fancy word for saying he's a hateful motherfucker. So

You know, Brock, yeah, in the South, it's in your face. But now, you know, Trump has kind of made it where, you know, it's kind of chic to be racist and and and to flaunt your white privilege and you know the betterment of white America. and you gotta think of it. I was having a conversation earlier with my cousin, and he said, you know.

Mark Hayes (09:17.644)
Trump only got fifty si only got fifty-seven percent of the white vote. That means forty-three percent said, yeah, this guy's a clown, there's no way I'm voting for him. So you gotta think that's why they're working so hard to get rid of, you know, the the the black vote, the Hispanic vote, and the other vote you know, with so much vigor. you know, now Trump is, you know, trying to get rid of mailing ballots.

You know, which hurts Republicans more. So but he doesn't know. He he doesn't read. He's an idiot. But who cares?

Brock Ganeles (09:47.052)
Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (09:51.544)
He doesn't know. As a white guy, the as a white guy, the the black on Asian animosity that's going on online, triggered by that shooting and then as people say a bunch of dopey shit and then you it's gasoline on the fire is disappointing, right? 'Cause the oligarchs and the Project Twenty Twenty Five architects, they love that shit. Be right, because when different, you know, minority groups are going after each other

They're not focused on the fact that it's, you know, Elon Musk who just became a trillionaire yesterday that are picking their pocket and that Trump is, you know, scooping his, you know, every dollar he can get his hands on. So they love, they love that kind of thing. Hopefully it it tamps down because, you know, as they said in the Hunger Games, right? We've got to remember who the real enemy is. Remember who the real enemy is. Right? And it's a white supremacist. Yeah.

Mark Hayes (10:39.99)
Right.

Right. And that is the one percent. It's the Fuckerbergs. It's the Bezoses. You know?

Brock Ganeles (10:48.993)
So getting back to the conversation I had the with the young bucket as a ballet is like tying into Trump's recent comments, is it the economy and the fact that the tone-deafness of Trump to the economic plight that he has inflicted on America will that fuel and boil more anger to trigger more protests, more actions?

know, certainly higher voting and the whole cadre of activities that we're gonna need to really squeeze the life out of MAGA, do you think?

Mark Hayes (11:30.89)
Yeah. I I hope.

I I I really think people are so afraid of uprising, you know, because Trump's got his hand on the button, you know, and he's so ready to pull the military trigger. Ice, you know, I just saw a blurb where ICE had bloodied someone else, you know, in one of their so-called, you know, service duties. I

I really do think we are scared and we don't trust each other enough to say, hey, let's all go. Can't kill us all. You know, and we could definitely outnumber. If we protest like the Albanians, if we protest like the Hungarians, you know, it would be different. But, you know, again, where's the angst? I see soccer moms still, you know, dropping their kids off.

Swung through the mall parking lot today trying to get to some some quick and fast lunch.

All looked like it was bustling to me. Plenty of cars in the parking lot. Plenty of traffic going in and out. I, you know, I mean, maybe, maybe I live near the lot of one percenters. I don't know. But, you know, I do know this is we're paying a hell of a lot more at the grocery store, a hell of a lot more at the gas tank, and a hell of a lot more for goods and services that just shot up on us. And next thing you know, you look at your account balance and you're like, whoa.

Mark Hayes (13:09.688)
Where the fuck did it go? And that's the the bottom the that's the bottom line. Don't tell me it's not the price of eggs and milk now. You know? I've seen people online talking about how a gallon is of milk is 10 bucks. You know, in certain parts of the country. Price of beef is astronomical, record high prices. We're at a three-year high for inflation.

Brock Ganeles (13:31.35)
Yeah.

Mark Hayes (13:40.025)
Three years. It hasn't been this high in three years. I mean, this guy, and he could give a shit. Right? Because he picked a fight with the one country who could shut shit down anytime they feel like it. The one country that could put mines in the straight of war moves, drive the fertilizer fertilizer prices up, which has a ripple effect on everything.

Everything we eat needs fertilizer. Every fresh fruit, fresh vegetable, every meat, everything needs fertilizer. Except maybe chickens. I don't know what they feed chickens. But Jesus, I mean, we are we are totally screwed here. And and here's the thing, Brock, we got a clown car trying to dig our way out of this thing. Right? None of these people have the experience to help us out of this.

Brock Ganeles (14:39.179)
How is MAGA gonna message their way through this when Trump at the top is telling people affordability's a hoax, Democrats have made this up, things aren't so bad, I think the economy's fine, groceries prices are okay, and gas prices are gonna come down as soon as I, you know, finish this war? I mean, are they gonna be able to all of them throughout the country message that, you know, against Trump, or are they just gonna go rogue and just

Mark Hayes (14:57.462)
Soon as I finished the work.

Brock Ganeles (15:08.873)
have their own answer for things, even though the president has just told us that he doesn't think it's a problem.

Mark Hayes (15:17.568)
I you know what, Brock? I'm so convinced that they believe they can steal the election, that they could give a shit about messaging, they could give a shit about campaigning, just like he didn't, and they could couldn't care less about the process, because the process to them involves voter suppression, cheating, you know, snatching ballot boxes, you know, just fascism.

You know, through and through. And I I think that's the play. MAGA Mike shut down Congress again because 19 Congressmen went rogue in a revolt. So Congress so we're shutting it down. They haven't done it. They have zero legislative accomplishments that have helped the American people. Zero.

Brock Ganeles (16:03.979)
Yeah, yeah. I mean

Did you see the quote from John Cornyn, you know, the current Texas senator who lost the primary to Paxton, so he's only got six months left in his seat before he's sent out the past year? His comment was like, it's gonna be a miserable two years for Trump. Well, and I was thinking, no, it's not. It's gonna be a miserable two years for the American people, not for Trump.

Mark Hayes (16:17.718)
Mm-hmm. What he said.

Mark Hayes (16:26.594)
Okay.

Mark Hayes (16:35.32)
Mark and

Brock Ganeles (16:37.589)
You're he you're still pretending like Trump gives a shit about legislation and what how how the country itself is faring. Tr the Trump corruption train is gonna keep rolling down the tracks. He's not gonna get hurt. He's gonna keep finding ways to enrich himself and live a good life. He's gonna play a lot of golf. He's not gonna have a miserable two years.

Mark Hayes (17:07.532)
Fuck no.

Brock Ganeles (17:08.573)
Everybody else is gonna have a miserable two years unless fuckers like you, Cornyn, do something about it. Or you accept it now you're gonna ripcord and be gone and it's the next person who has to do something about it. Cause you've been with Trump for one term of four years and now another eighteen months, and you haven't done anything for the people.

Mark Hayes (17:15.245)
Do something.

Mark Hayes (17:31.399)
Anything. Anything.

Nope, because it was it was a zero sum game to begin with, Brock. They were all in it for themselves. They realized Trump was open in the floodgates and they said, Well, let me grab as much as I can. And that's all it was about. You know, enriching themselves. the Israel thing, you know, the Israeli lobby at all the people they were able to purchase, including on the blue side, you know, that's disgusting. That does not help the American people. Again.

Brock Ganeles (17:47.831)
What can I get at?

Mark Hayes (18:05.6)
Zero legislative accomplishments to help out the average American. And the average American is suffering and trying to decide between medication and you know fresh fruit and vegetables. Right? Like, I mean, think about how hard it is.

And the and the job situation, right? If you lost a job in your home right now and you're trying to make things work, it's hard as hell. It is hard as hell on one salary to get by with the price of things. That's why consumer credit debt is up through the roof, and it's going to stay that way. And that creates a problem for the banks.

Right? Because those bills are not gonna be you know, you start running up credit cards, Brock, it's hard to pay the minimum. And if you pay the minimum it really doesn't help you. Yeah, all you're doing is paying interest.

Brock Ganeles (19:02.411)
Yeah, you can get defaults. There's gonna get those yeah, the tr d defaults are gonna go up. Defaults are gonna go up, foreclosures are gonna go up. Car loans, right, are already spiking and you know. Yeah.

Mark Hayes (19:14.86)
Yep. Late fees, yeah. It's it's and he's sitting here telling us the economy's fine and as soon as I end the war, what should happen by the end of the weekend. Bullshit Iran is saying we don't we don't have any paperwork. We we ain't seeing anything. We're just gonna keep fighting.

Brock Ganeles (19:33.24)
Yeah, there's no like set terms that are even like usable to anyone in the process. So it's really Trump bullshitting and saying they really, really want a deal.

Mark Hayes (19:35.565)
Yeah.

Nope. Again.

Brock Ganeles (19:43.946)
I mean yeah, I there's no doubt that Iran is feeling the pain also, but they're fucking their citizens in the way that Trump's fucking ours, so all the citizens of both countries are getting hurt. But their government also doesn't give a fuck. They're dug in because they're answering to a higher calling and you know, they're living in some crazy religious fantasy world. They don't so why would they blink? Like they can

Mark Hayes (19:49.165)
Right.

Mark Hayes (19:55.458)
Getting screwed.

Yeah.

Mark Hayes (20:06.349)
Yeah.

Mark Hayes (20:10.924)
Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (20:11.905)
Th you know, so if a bunch of their people die along the way, I mean the Iranian government cares that much about it. And I don't think our government cares that much that a bunch of Americans are gonna die along the way 'cause they didn't have enough food, cause they didn't have they couldn't afford their insulin. Like American people are gonna die for the worst simplest of reasons, because they didn't ha they can't afford the basic necessities of living in America.

Mark Hayes (20:17.582)
We're not giving a shit.

Mark Hayes (20:23.096)
No.

Mark Hayes (20:38.625)
Right.

Brock Ganeles (20:38.719)
It's probably happening already but no one's telling us 'cause the media sucks and no one counts no one counts the numbers anymore. Just like we don't count deaths in the ICE facilities. We're gonna stop counting deaths at the hospital soon.

Mark Hayes (20:42.548)
Exactly.

Mark Hayes (20:48.279)
Right.

And Brock, remember, nobody could hold their nose and ver vote for the brown lady, so hospitals closed. Right? How did how did that help you, MAGA? Now you gotta drive three, four hours to get to the nearest hospital? How does that help you when you have an accident on the farm? Even if you if you you break a you break a bone and you gotta drive three or four hours to get to the nearest hospital. Like how does that help you?

God forbid you have a real emergency, a heart attack. Hey, I got news for you. You have a heart attack three or four hours away from the hospital, you're a goner. You're a goner. I hope your affairs are in order. And that's we we we had a hospital just close here in Metro Atlanta. In Metro Atlanta. Brock, we've got up billions and billions of dollars of surplus. You tell me why that fucking hospital closed.

'cause it served black and brown people and it operated in the red, most likely. Like most hospitals that serve the underserved often do. I I just, you know

I I I I'm just so frustrated and over the h it's the hypocrisy again, bro, that kills me. That kills me. You know, and and and we're so willing to turn and look the other way on the crimes of Donald Trump and all his one percent of friends, you know, in this book that Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan are going to you know, get themselves paid off of. You know, why didn't you tell us this a year ago when all this shit was going on? But that's

Mark Hayes (22:30.74)
discussion. The fact of the matter is think about it. Epstein killed himself during fur during the first term of Trump's you know reign of terror.

Virginia Jufre killed herself shortly after that freakout in the White House Oval Office. Charlie Kirk was on his podcast, you know, using it as a forum to argue about having the Epstein files released. And two months after that White House freakout, he was dead. He was unalived by an assassin's

Weapon of choice.

Do we not think any of that is interrelated? It's all connected. I mean, Trump was in the Epstein files threatening to unalive people. But we're gonna look the other way on it. We're not mad enough about the crimes he perpetrated. We're not mad enough about the sadistic things that he did to these children that are coming out in these files right now, in this book from Haberman and Swan. You know, they probably got a few million each to write the book.

You know, and Haberman's not a reporter, she's a plant. We get that. Swan's in it for the money, I'm sure. you know, but again, this not helping the American people. Nothing nothing that helps us move the needle. Nothing that helps ease the pain at the pump. Nothing that you can't go to Walmart and get a deal. You gotta pay higher prices in the Walmart.

Mark Hayes (24:13.568)
I there's no easy answers. Right? And and then when the midterms roll around, they're gonna tell us, well, we gotta continue to fight. They stole the election. Well who are the people that are supposed to prevent the election from being stolen?

We need to look into that. Because I don't know who they are right now.

Brock Ganeles (24:32.629)
Yeah. I mean it's it's interesting 'cause the senses th my sense is that sentiment has changed in America and there are more and more individuals emboldened fucking finally to outwardly criticize Trump. And I think part of the issue is that there's so many high profile failures and and Trump has dabbled into people's

the part of life where people just want to enjoy themselves and kinda ruined he's ruined even people's little bit of fun that they had left. And that's why the Knicks game triggered so much anger. And even, you know, Stephen A. Smith who I don't love

Mark Hayes (25:15.361)
Yep.

Brock Ganeles (25:18.891)
Did a whole piece criticizing Trump and his narcissism for showing up. You know, that like aggravated people. And the World Cup is like another just started. Already stadiums with empty seats. It already looks like a botched

Mark Hayes (25:25.858)
Mm-hmm.

Mark Hayes (25:32.94)
Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (25:36.984)
Host. It's like hosting a party. You know, you host a party in your apartment and it's only like eight or ten people there and you're looking at the door and like no one's there. It's like, fuck, this thing's gonna be a dud. And even the people that are there are starting to think like, why'd I come to this thing? You know, and it's like, if more people don't walk through that door soon, this thing's gonna be a zero. So like the World Cup, suppose the galvanize, energize, excite the world. And like we're showing empty stadiums.

Mark Hayes (25:38.082)
Yep. Well nobody shows up.

Ha ha

Mark Hayes (25:51.136)
Right.

Mark Hayes (26:01.89)
The world the world

Mark Hayes (26:07.33)
Got no choice.

Brock Ganeles (26:07.679)
Because we didn't let people into the country 'cause we price gouged the tickets like for all the 'cause we're so unwelcoming. And now this UFC fight that Trump's made such a big fucking thing about just looks like just looks like a failure.

Mark Hayes (26:24.088)
Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (26:24.297)
Like they're not invit like there's gonna be like no one there. They're not inviting the press in. They're not like no celebrities wanna go now. He's become toxic to celebrities. So they avoid him. And so no one's gonna go that y that UFC fight already feels weird. No, so but this is like the toy store of life and Trump is, you know, kinda jutted in there like, Hey, I wanna party with you dudes and everyone's kinda like, Ugh fuck.

Mark Hayes (26:50.626)
Right. And re but Brock, remember, Michael Jackson was shunned for Neverland. This is Trump's Neverland. I mean, do you see that fucking awful piece of shit stadium he's building in the backyard of the fucking White House? It looks disgust it look like somebody put a frickin' concert venue behind the White House. It's supposed to be hallowed ground, Brock. He is disrespected.

250 years of this country's existence by leveling the East Wing, creating some fucking gaudy, ridiculous looking ballroom with gold finishing all over the fucking place. And in the meanwhile, you know, Americans are struggling. Legal citizens, legal citizens are sitting in detention facilities with no due process and no one to call.

Brock Ganeles (27:44.321)
Yeah.

Mark Hayes (27:44.576)
And this fucking guy is is organizing games. You know, it's like it's like comatism, gladiator.

Brock Ganeles (27:48.736)
Organizing games, but yeah. There's algae. There's there's algae in the reflecting pool. He did some fuckery with the reflecting pool, and now there's algae. They gotta fish out of there. It already made it look worse. Like he just like dabbling, you know, you see today they're taking Trump's name off the Kennedy Center because you know they put his name up there, but then the court says they have to take it down like it's a little victory because it chips away at his narcissism. But like he

Mark Hayes (27:57.688)
Yeah.

Mark Hayes (28:06.348)
Of the Kennedy Center. I was watching it live.

Mark Hayes (28:15.192)
Right.

Brock Ganeles (28:16.479)
He tried to insert himself into pop culture, right? He tried to mingle sort of like with the cool kids of society and the the gamesmanship that really is the the thing that brings American people together the most. Sports and pop culture, and you know, Kardashians and real housewives, right? Those are the things that

you know, in essence, everybody watches in America, right? And he just is always inserting himself into them and making them worse. And I think fucking with sports is really bad because it pisses men off. And men are his core constituency.

Mark Hayes (28:47.328)
Right. Right.

Mark Hayes (28:54.114)
Yep.

Mark Hayes (29:02.55)
Support. Yeah.

Brock Ganeles (29:05.085)
And even men are kinda like, Get the fuck away from my fucking team. Like, get the fuck out of the World Cup fucking action. Why even UFC is his ultra core. Core of core. And even UFC fans are kinda tired with, you know, him this fight that he's trying to engineer.

Mark Hayes (29:09.506)
Yeah.

Mark Hayes (29:25.654)
Right, because now they're in all in court trying to decide, you know, if it's can if it can be canceled or not. The fighters have this process that they have to go to prior to the fight to make weight. It's fucking with everybody. and remember, Brock, football in terms of soccer, is the most popular game in the world. And this was an opportunity, like you said, to bring the world together, and we failed miserably.

I mean, there was the official. You were talking about people not being allowed into the country, right? They there was the official from I think he's from Senegal. One of one of Africa's premier referees and officials in in in the football game wasn't allowed entry. And he's you he's universally recognized as one of the best in the game. you had

other players from black and brown countries searched on the tarmac while the white teams from the Netherlands just breezed right in. I mean, everything was counter to what you would expect a a hospitable host to offer. And we failed at it miserably. And we'll be remembered as as the country that fucked up the World Cup in 2026.

Brock Ganeles (30:48.211)
am so bearish on the travel industry in America because you think of all these people from all over the world, bought tickets, booked a hotel room,

Mark Hayes (30:52.706)
Mark Hayes (31:00.238)
How much did we lose?

Brock Ganeles (31:02.177)
Have then they have the visa problems, can't get in, get delayed, get turned away, so now they can't come. They're not getting a refund on those World Cup tickets. They're getting screwed on those hotels. So we just screwed people who wanted to come here. They ain't fucking booking another trip to the US.

Mark Hayes (31:18.529)
Right.

Ever. Right.

Brock Ganeles (31:23.231)
So we be right, we're gonna have to cycle through fucking generations and or get past the remembrances. So like it's just gonna be such a decline in travel to the US because we're fucking up the big events that should have had a wave of people coming here. And we're just souring the experience of coming to America. It was already bad. It's been bad every day since Trump's been here, but it's gotten worse and worse and worse and worse and worse.

And the fact that we can't even accommodate the biggest global event in the world and we've put our ice and our fucking z you know xenophobia stamp on it, we've just kind of sucked the joy out of it like Trump did a you know game three for the Knicks game. We've sucked the joy out of the World Cup. Look, it'll still be some great, you know, you know, there'll be great games and it'll still be fun and dandy, but like it won't be the same. It won't have good energy.

Mark Hayes (32:08.739)
Yeah.

Mark Hayes (32:19.668)
No. No. No. And without the energy, you don't have anything. Just take a look at Madison Square Garden. That energy there is unforgettable. I told you there will be eight million people who say they were there for the tipping. For the OG tipping. I was there live. I was in the stadium. I was at MSG when it happened. Meanwhile, they were on, you know, 38th Street watching it on a big screen somewhere.

Brock Ganeles (32:34.847)
Yeah.

Mark Hayes (32:47.778)
But they will have been eight million people will have been there. And that's the beauty of the energy that Trump sucked the life out of at game three. Alright, good place to wrap it up, bro. Nixon five. We'll holler at you tomorrow.

Brock Ganeles (33:04.939)
That's some serious confidence. Mark, always a pleasure. I will we'll check in tomorrow if we can. I'll be up on the road a bit tomorrow. I think I'm working my way towards Birmingham, Alabama tomorrow night.

Mark Hayes (33:15.093)
Okay.

Mark Hayes (33:20.822)
Some historic sites there. Yes indeed. Alright, my friend, travel safely. Yes sir. Sounds good. Peace.

Brock Ganeles (33:21.825)
Game.

Brock Ganeles (33:26.847)
All Mark, always a pleasure. Talk to you later.
